What do our parents say about
Wombwell Park Street Primary School?

Each year we ask parents to complete a 'Parental Questionnaire', which gives them the opportunity to provide us with their thoughts and feelings on a range of questions, which cover:
  • whether their child feels happy and safe in school
  • whether their child enjoys learning and the different opportunities available to them
  • whether they feel the behaviour of children at Park Street is managed well
  • whether they feel their child is progressing well
  • whether they feel welcomed in to school as parents and whether they are provided with good detail about their child's learning and much more.

Our last parental questionnaire was completed in the Spring term 2016-17 (January time).  We analyse the answers each year and feed the findings back to parents, informing them of the collective things they think our school does well and the areas in which they want us to focus on improving.

We are always very grateful for any parental feedback and welcome this on a daily basis - knowing what you think helps us improve!  Please find two summaries below of this questionnaire analysis - one for EYFS and one for Years 1 - 6.

At the end of every academic year, we provide parents with a 'Record of Achievement' which celebrates the learning, progress and effort of their child throughout the year.  They inform parents of what they have learnt about and can do well and what their next targets are.  They also identify information for parents regarding their child's current attainment and progress that year.  We always include a 'Parental Comment Slip'.  Here are a selection of comments that parents have written regarding their child's enjoyment of school life in 2016-17!

'I'm extremely proud of my son and his school report.  he has improved so much and I am over the moon'
'Thank you again so much to the staff, my child wouldn't have done so well this year without you'
'Over the last year we have seen our daughter's knowledge and confidence grow in leaps and bounds and have no doubt that, while we support and encourage her learning at home, she has thrived and succeeded thanks to the excellent teaching and support of her teachers'
