MEET THE TEAM

Mrs Bamforth

Class Teacher
​Hello, my name is Mrs Bamforth and I this is my fifth year at Park Street.  I am the class teacher of year 5. I have the great pleasure of teaching a fabulous group of children. I love teaching all areas of learning and I am really looking forward to sharing new ideas with the class, as well as the children demonstrating their passion and excitement in their learning.
I love to read and spend time with my family, who are all cricket enthusiasts, and it is where I spend most of my Summer. 

Mrs Akyel

Cover Supervisor
Hello, my name is Mrs Akyel. I am going into my eighth year at Park Street. I feel so lucky to work alongside the lovely children we have here at Park Street. Being a cover supervisor I get to spend time with all the wonderful classes not just my own.
​My passion is focusing on the children's wellbeing and emotional needs.
I love being the schools football coach alongside Mr Smith. I also run the girls after school football team. My favourite subject to teach is art, I love to get creative and messy.
My hobbies are Glitter tattoos, walking my two cockapoos and spending time with my two boys. ​

Mrs GreenHaulgh

Teaching Assistant 
​Hi I've worked at Park Street a great number of years now and I still get that buzz of working with staff and children each and every day .In my spare time I love gardening, reading a good book and catching up with friends.

Key events in Team DB

Monday - Indoor PE
Thursday - Outdoor PE
Friday - Reading stamps collected
Thursday - Spelling test, weekly arithmetic test
Friday - Homework given out and previous week's homework handed in.

Please note that Team DB has set PE days. However, occasionally due to busy timetables and changes in weather conditions, these times may be flexible. We politely request that PE kits are brought to school on a Monday and taken home for washing on a Friday.

What do we learn about in Team DB?

In Team DB we aim to have lots of fun and show great enthusiasm in everything we do. Throughout the year we focus on three integrated curriculum topics which cover Geography, History and Science. To support our learning with the National Curriculum, each term we will be investigating a different enquiry based question.

Autumn Term: Where would you like to visit in Europe?
Ancient Greeks: Culture and Beliefs.
Spring Term: Ancient Greeks: Culture and Beliefs.
​Who were the Anglo Saxons and Vikings?
Summer Term: What on Earth is beyond our planet?
