 Maths: Looking at 2D and 3D shapes.

Maths: The children have been looking at unit and non-unit fractions.
Literacy: Most of the children in AC have faced their fears to create a fact file for a spider!
PSHE: The children have been learning about respect and protentional consequences of not showing respect.
Art: For art this week the children have been planning their final piece and looking at creating their own Seascape.
Science: The children have been separating animals into vertebrates and invertebrates. The children in AC, and even the staff, were shocked to find out that a snake is a vertebrate!
Literacy: This week the children are finishing off their non-chronological reports on mountains to share with other children at Wombwell Park Street!
Maths: The children have been continuing with fractions and finding a half, a quarter and a third of numbers.
RE: This week the children have been learning about why Jesus was an important person and re-capping on what they already knew about him.
Geography: The children this week for geography have been using an atlas to find mountains in the UK as well as finding out facts about Ben Nevis.
Art: In art we have begun to look at our new topic, under the sea. The children completed sketches of fish and other aquatic animals.
Science: This week in science we are looking at living things, once living things and never living.
PE: The children have been practising rolly pollies in their gymnastic lessons.

This term Team AC's Artist of the Term is Hokusai! We have learned all about when he lived, what kind of art he made and even had a go at re-creating one of his most famous pieces The Great Wave off Kanagawa. All the children created their own tile that when put together created a big collage of The Great Wave.
