The last fortnight has been incredibly busy for Year 3 and I am certain that they could not have worked any harder than they have this week.
During our Maths this week, we have been busy further developing our knowledge of place value. We have spent time adding and subtracting multiples of ten, bridging the hundreds boundary and solving problems linked to this learning. The class showed themselves to be exceptionally efficient when it came to doing this, and could use a range of methods to support them in finding the answers to such learning. In our Literacy, we have been continuing to work on our own version of the enormous Crocodile. The class have been busy creating their own stories which they are writing about. We have then spent time exploring how we can add more detail to our stories through the use of noun phrases expanded by a prepositional phrase and the use of subordinating conjunctions. Make sure you pop back soon to see what else we have been busy learning about!
