Bonfire,Diwali and Remembrance

Over the past 2 weeks we have been learning all about Bonfire night and Diwali.
We have been creating firework pictures and learning some Bonfire songs about different fireworks. We have decorated Diwali lanterns and learnt about Rama and Sita and made rangoli patterns in chalk and paint.
Our number work has been focussed around numbers 5 and 6. We have added fireworks and created displays for number 6.
On Remembrance day we made poppies and learned about how poppies are made as well as watching the very moving Cbeebies video about poppies growing after the war in Flanders fields.
