On Tuesday 1st February we celebrated the Chinese New Year in School. in Team CW we watched some dragon dancing and got creative making some dragon puppets and paintings of dragons. We also made 2d shape dragons and practised writing numbers in Mandarin on chalk boards and with pens. We listened to the story of the Chinese new year animals and found out that 2022 is the year of the tiger. We watched some information about how the Chinese New Year is celebrated by families and set up our roleplay area as a Chinese restaurant and practised picking up some of our playfood spring roles, prawn toast, noodles and rice with chopsticks.
