This week we have had fun listening to the traditional story of The Gingerbread Man and using this story as a way of developing our use of story language and ability to talk about story events in our own words. The classroom provision has been enhanced with Gingerbread man related activities this week and through this we have developed our creative skills, story telling with puppets, adding to 9 and writing the dominant sounds in words. We have been coding using "Beebot" our class robot. We drew arrows to plan the route Beebot needed to follow on his track (forwards, backwards, left, right) and programmed him to follow them! We had so much fun and some of us even planned a return route home! During Welly Walk there was even a Gingerbread man hiding in the bushes for the children to find whilst they were making collections of 9 interesting objects.
