Traditional stories weeks 3 and 4

Over the past two weeks the Pandas have been listening to different versions of first the Three Little Pigs and then in week 4 The Little Red Hen. We have compared these stories with other stories. Such as Farmer Duck, with a Lazy old farmer. We have noticed similarities and differences between the stories and written sentences about story events.
We have enjoyed acting out the stories and learning story songs with actions and instruments for the Little Red Hen.
We have painted pictures from the stories, made model houses, baked bread and painted hens. 
In maths we began our learning on number 10 and have compared the number blocks, matched objects to numbers, found ways of making 10, made up number stories to 10 and developed our understanding though stories and games.
For lots of the children they have adapted amazingly well to new ways of learning at home and its been a pleasure seeing the fantastic effort that they, and their parents, have put into using Seesaw. One month into lockdown and we are proud of the Pandas and the progress they are continuing to make with their phonics thanks to the parent support in  following the Read Write Inc daily lessons. You truly are a wonderful lot. Thank you x
