Today in Science, we have been learning to know the names of the basic parts of a plant and their function - leaves, flower, stem, roots, petals.
We watched the following video - https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/science-ks1-ks2-ivys-plant-workshop-parts-of-a-plant/zvdkpg8 and learnt that the: stem - supports the plant and transports the water and nutrients roots - keep the plant in the ground and absorbs water and nutrients leaves - get energy from the sun and makes food petals - attract insects flower - create the seeds.
