Reception Learning

This week the children have been taught the first 5 RWI (Read Write Inc.) sounds in their phonics groups. The sounds are 'm', 'a', 's', 'd' and 't'. Children have continued to practise their oral blending using Fred Talk.

​In Maths, children have started work on having a deep understanding of numbers to 10. This week the children have learnt all about number 1 including lots of ways to represent one using different mathematical resources such as five-frame, ten-frame, dice, domino, tally marks and number line!
