Reception Learning

​Reception children have continued to work in RWI groups to learn sounds. Children have continued to learn to say pure sounds, write the sound saying the handwriting phrase and to blend sounds in words to hear a word using ‘Fred Talk’. Some Reception children have begun to use magnetic boards to learn to blend – once children are secure in this they will begin to read green word cards. Our number of the week has been number 3! The children have been identifying the numeral, writing the numeral and learning different ways to represent the number 3. They practised counting objects out to 3. Children could identify a triangle and learnt that a triangle has 3 sides and 3 corners.
