This morning, Mrs Knott visited Park Street to take a look at Maths throughout the school and to also chat with out Maths subject leaders. This is what she had to say:
'Over the last few subject audits that I have done with Mr Fidment and Mrs Bamforth, there has been huge progress made in the teaching of maths. The lessons were engaging and thought-provoking, language was used effectively by both teachers and pupils. The use and personalisation of the NCETM curriculum prioritisation materials was clear throughout school and staff had stripped lessons back to what the kids needed to learn. This meant the learning was more focused, teacher modelling was strong and the tasks required of the children were more about understanding and deepening thinking.' Well done Team Park Street. We are so proud of our children and staff. |
