Ramadan in Team CB

In Team CB, the children have been working very hard this week to learn all about Ramadan. We began by discussing what we already knew. Thanks to some beautiful posters displayed around school, children had read some facts that they could recall, but they were not entirely sure what Ramadan actually was. As such, we investigated this further as a class, researching Ramadan, what fasting is, and why this is done. After producing our information sheet, we discussed how Ramadan is a time for people to earn more rewards for good deeds. We discussed and created a list of good deeds before each child was given a good deed card. They have until the end of the week to try and complete their good deed, either at home or at school. We also used our time to create craft baskets for Ramadan which will include a small treat as is customary. The class have loved learning about Ramadan and post lesson we added all the new things we had learned to our mind map. Well done Team CB!
