Virtual tour - Team CH

This week Team CH have been on a virtual tour of a synagogue. Team CH were able to locate some internal features of a synagogue such as, the sanctuary, mechitzah which is a screen that separates men and women, not all synagogue have these, some reformed synagogue allow men and women to sit together. the Ark,  the ner tamid which is an oil lamp that represents god's eternal light, a menorah which holds seven candle sticks and the star of David. 

After this Team CH compared Wombwell to Jerusalem and talked about places that are special to people of the Jewish faith such as the western wall which is the only remaining part of a great Jewish temple that the Romans destroyed.  ​
