Happy Half Term

How has the first half term of the year already made its way around? I cannot quite fathom how quickly the last eight weeks have gone. Team CB have made such an excellent start to this school year and I could not be more proud of the progress they have made in their learning. They truly have given their all and excelled in so much of what they have been tasked with. I wish all the children a restful. happy half term and hope they enjoy the chance to relax after such a busy and productive start to the year. I am thoroughly looking forward to seeing them all again next week and I can't wait to hear what they have been up to!
Meanwhile, in our Maths, we have concluded our topic of addition this week. The class have shown such fantastic effort in their understanding of addition and should be so very proud. When we return to school, our next unit will focus on subtraction. I am certain they will be every bit as successful as they have been with their learning so far!
In Literacy this week we have finally produced and published our travel brochure. The class were fantastic in working hard to use all their learned persuasive techniques to make their reading as compelling as possible. It has been a pleasure to read them and it is already apparent just how much progress the class has made since the start of the year! Well done Team! When we return from the holidays, we will be jetting off to Italy in the next stop of our European tour, where the class will learn how to write instructions for an authentic Italian pizza. I am sure a few tasty treats will be making their way home!
