As part of their computing lessons, Teams AF and LL have been using Purple Mash for coding. They first started by coding a game called ‘Splatty Bug’. The children had to create an algorithm so that the timer would work, the player would get a score and the bugs would splat if you clicked them. Teams AF and LL then made these their own and changed the background and some other aspects. Throughout this task, the children had to use their computing skills to debug any errors. Here is an example: After this, the children were given the challenge to make their own game. They have started to design their games and thought carefully about what will be needed in the algorithm to make the game work.
