We have loved being up an active in our counting! Practicing ordinal counting each day has really helped us in becoming familiar with the flow, sound and sequence of numbers. Additionally, Team CH were asked the question which team has the most coats? We set of searching for the answer. Using our cardinal counting skills we were able to discover that Team JF had the most coats. Also, we furthered our cardinal counting skills by counting how many blocks we could removed before the tower crumbled. This week team CH have continued counting for an ordinal purpose using number lines. We began by talking about all the numbers at the bottom of the number line and noticed that 0-100 all have zero ones, but the tens increase as we move up the number line. Next we moved on to identifying one less than a multiple of ten and recognised that most of the time this number has nine ones. We spent lots of time counting forwards and backwards starting from a variety of positions
