What a great start we've had in Team AC! All the children have settled into the new class and they are getting used to their new routines. They have given themselves their new superhero name to go with our class identity as the Awesome Crew! They have drawn their superhero and added it to the amazing display outside the classroom door.  
We have talked about the fact that we all have our own superpowers such as being a great reader, being an amazing artist, being a fabulous friend, fantastic footballer, marvellous mathematician - the list goes on!

We can't wait to see you all on Monday. We hope you are ready to have some fun and learn lots of new things this year!

We will start off next week with some work about ourselves and we will tell others about all the things that make us AWESOME!

We have some very talented artists in Team AC who never fail to amaze us with their wonderful designs. They are so enthusiastic about their work that they put their ideas into practice at home as well! 
Here's a wonderful shield and sword from our studies about life in the Iron Age. 

Maths - 2 step problems using addition and subtraction. 
Literacy - Poetry including cinquains (see picture)
Science - characteristics of living thigs and presentation work to create a poster to show what we know.
Spanish - Spring vocabulary.
Art - blossom tree painting - pointillism style

Sometimes it's nice to have a chilled lunchtime so we have offered the children a chance to come into class a bit early after lunch play on Friday's to draw cartoons and chat with friends and teachers.
