 This week we have been busy in science making sure that we understand the rock cycle. Mrs Crossfield used sweets to show each of the stages of the rock cycle and it made us remember really well. Our rock cycle posters we fabulous and very well detailed!
In Music we have started to play shakers, drums and xylophones to accompany the song, River of dreams, by Billy Joel and we sounded really good. We are learning about musical terms - Beat, Rhythm and pitch. In Maths we have been counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s and some of us have been counting in 3s and 50s!

Some things we have been doing in our class this week:
In maths we have continued to learn about how numbers are made and we have been representing numbers in different ways and also writing the numbers in words. In science we looked at the rock cycle and made posters with a friend to explain what happens. We also learned about how fossils are made and Mrs Crossfield showed us a special fossil that she found in her garden. We really enjoyed playing basketball this week with Mr Smith and making our own fossils in choosing time. We also perfected our own unique class greeting to use if we have visitors in our class. Maybe if ever you visit our class you'll get to see it? |
