Chinese New Year

We have had so much fun this week learning about Chinese New Year!

We have taken part in lots of activities and learnt how to say Happy New Year in Mandarin. We tried some Chinese food including noodles, sweet chilli sauce, rice and prawn crackers. We made some Chinese dragons in the creative area, wrote Chinese numbers and symbols for the year we were born. 

We listened to some Chinese music and songs and performed a dragon dance!
We wore red to celebrate because red is considered a lucky colour in China.
