We are off to a flying start this year with lots of exciting art work being undertaken. Here is a summary:
Team AF and LL - Are developing sketches and drawings of natural disasters. The children are busy collecting appropriate materials which they will later use to create a model of a natural disaster.
Team DB, JD and LF - Inspired by their recent visit to Whitby the children have been collecting photographs of the seaside town natural and manmade objects and sights. They will be bringing back the photographs to help develop elements for a water colour composition.
Team JW, CH and EO Have begun exploring the work of their featured artist Hans Holbein and will be developing their own portraits through this term.
Team SG and AC Have begun research the history of pot design and will be learning about Roman mosaics. Art work this term will involve designing and creating Roman oil lamps out of clay.
Team CM and CW Will be learning to name and paint with different colours. They will have the opportunity to explore colours and learn how to make secondary colours. Children will also have the opportunity to explore different shapes and add them to their artistic creations. Children will also be exploring the colours of autumn on their welly walks and creating collage pictures from items they collect.
