On Wednesday 22nd February Team AF and LL were lucky enough to visit The Cooper Gallery. The temporary exhibition room was devoted to the work of Henry Moore. We enjoyed looking at examples of Moore’s sculptures but also enjoyed some of his other work. We looked at drawings, sketches and paintings. Henry Moore used a range of techniques and materials including: pencil, ink, charcoal, wax and paint. We also enjoyed exploring Henry’s print work. We enjoyed looking at a range of his prints depicting animals.
As well as the work of Henry Moore we enjoyed exploring the two permanent collections Fox and Cooper. There were many different styles of painting including: landscapes and portraits. The collections cover a lot of different art movements including: impressionist, abstract, modern, expressionism and romantic to name but a few. We enjoyed sharing our thoughts and opinions about the art on display
