Hi Team AC
Here's a quick game to try which will help you to practise your maths skills and have fun with your family! http://www.iseemaths.com/home-lessons/ Its a game called 'Sum Turnover' and all you need are some playing cards or Uno cards or if you don't have any you could make your own from pieces of cut up paper. Have fun! Let us know how you get on!

In Maths this week, Year 1 will be starting to learn about doubles. Here is a link to a video to help you learn them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbOFU1oBdys We will be using the White Rose website to help show you how to work doubles out. To support you today, please watch lesson 1. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ Here is your learning task and the answers. 21.04.20 Lesson 1 - Doubles. Download File 21.04.20 - Answers Download File Year 2 will be starting to learn about fractions. It would be useful to remember some of the work you completed in year 1 to help us get started so have a look at this work on sharing things into equal groups and then we can think about other fractions. Why not try finding things around your house or in your garden to sort into groups! https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ Lesson 3 - Making equal groups - sharing
Don't forget to keep tuning in to our music link 'Charanga' (you were sent an email earlier in the year with login details). We can see that a lot of you have had a go at some of the activities! - well done keep up the lovely work!
Hello Team AC - hope you are all ok and keeping safe this lovely sunny morning! Below is a link to start our new science topic about plants and animals. We start by thinking about the idea that animals including humans have a life cycle. We would like you to have a look at the ideas and try a few - see if you can put the pictures in the correct order and if you have the chance why not research some different animal life cycles. Let us know how you get on! Maybe have a go at drawing some different animals. Knowledge and Understanding Statutory Requirement 2c1: notice that animals, including humans, have offspring which grow into adults 2c2: find out about and describe the basic needs of animals, including humans, for survival (water, food and air) 2c3: describe the importance for humans of exercise, eating the right amounts of different types of food, and hygiene.
Welcome back to learning after the Easter break. We hope you had a lovely Easter weekend and enjoyed the sunshine (and the Easter eggs). This term we will be learning about plants and animals as part of our science/topic focus. More will follow later this week about the things we will be looking at. In Literacy this week we will be looking at some work about animals. Download the file below and have a go at some of the activities. There are separate ideas for Year 1 and Year 2 but feel free to choose whichever you prefer. Year 1
