Autumn 2

Team AK have had an extremely busy half term! We enjoyed learning about different materials, including how they are used, changed and recycled. We also went around school looking for what particular materials had been used for. In maths, we have done lots of practical activities to reinforce our concepts of number and we also solved problems in teams, talking through our thinking with each other. In literacy, we have worked on lots of skills, including the correct uses of apostrophes and adding suffixes to words. We have worked on re-telling stories and writing some of our own, using adjectives to make them interesting. Of course, this included the Nativity story! Our own Nativity, ‘Born in a Barn’ was a huge success, even if we say so ourselves. The children did all of us and themselves proud. Enjoy some well-deserved time with your children and bring them back well rested and ready for lots more learning!
