Minibeasts

Our learning focus this week has been on minibeasts. The children have learnt about where different minibeasts live and about the life cycle of a ladybird and butterfly. 

This week the children have worked really hard to learn Makaton signs for different minibeasts. We have learnt how to sign: ant, bee, butterfly, caterpillar, fly, ladybird, slug, snail, spider and worm. Here is a link to the Singing Hands video we have been learning it from - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIb_gbpcaGk.

In Team EO, we have some extremely creative children who have used our junk modelling materials to create their own minibeasts. All children have worked with Mrs Fitchett to create a clay minibeast.
