Welcome back Fabulous Flamingos! I hope you have all had a lovely Easter holiday and spent lots of time doing many exciting activities with your family! I would love to see what you have been up to so please email me using the details in the post below.
This half term our topic is "Watch It Grow!" This week our topic is "Minibeasts" and our story is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. If you haven't got the story book at home here is the link to the story online https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75NQK-Sm1YY This week if possible I would like you to go into your garden and go on a minibeast hunt! Alternatively you could have a hunt for them during your daily walk. Follow the link below to the Woodland Trust website where you find lots of resources to help you on your hunt. There are fact sheets and spotter sheets and activities including making a minibeast palace! http://treetoolsforschools.org.uk/activitymenu/?cat=minibeasts You could draw pictures and create a minibeast book for your family. You can use the book together to see what you can find another day! Don't forget that some minibeasts like to live in cool, damp places so you may need to search under pots or logs and don't forget your spade!
