Team LL are well into our geography work on natural disasters. We have used globes, atlases and digital maps to explore different regions of the Earth, where natural disasters have been recorded. We have identified various countries located on the Pacific Ring of Fire and identified the continents covered. We have explored tectonic plate boundaries and located them. We have also researched extreme weather around the world.

It is wonderful to be back and our brand new Year 6 have settled in brilliantly. We have hit the ground running. We have just started our exciting Geography topic on 'The Extreme Earth'. Children have looked at the different climate zones around the world and explored extreme weather in different parts of the world. We are working on Place Value in maths and every child in class is making superb progress with our daily tables race challenge. We are now up to  Chapter 4 in  our class novel Stormbreaker. We are totally hooked and are currently writing letters of advice to the stories hero Alex Rider.
