Miss Garratt presented an assembly today all about mutual respect and tolerance for other people. These are very important British values. Mrs Longden set the Arts Council a challenge to see if we could find any evidence in school to show that our school thinks these values are important. WOW! We found loads of evidence and lots of it was very arty and creative. We found art work from Interfaith week. Creative wiriting D&T work and information all about Chinese new year - Alan and Ben's mum kindly provided us with some authentic Chinese decorations. We found lots of evidence of classes celebrating other languages. There was artwork inspired by other cultures. We spotted classes learning about music from around the world. We found work in classes celebrating why children at our school are special and what makes them different. When we spotted examples of thes values we tagged them with a label. Keep your eyes peeled around school. We had fun and talked to the children in our classes about what we found out.
