At today's meeting the arts council generated questions to add to a pupil voice questionnaire. We have worked together to design a template. The arts council will work together to hold some pupil interviews. The arts council will also be collecting ideas for creative after school clubs.

During today's meeting the arts council had chosen to focus on drawing and poetry. The council shared what they had covered during their poetry work this term and the general feeling was that the children in school had enjoyed learning, writing and performing their poems. The council had also asked at the previous meeting if the children could bring along their art books to look specifically at drawing. We really enjoyed looking at the wide range of drawings and sketches and the progression from year to year. The arts council would like to drop in to lessons and take a look at what children are learning in their drawing slot on Friday afternoons. Mrs Longden has agreed to speak to teachers and arrange a drop in date.

Congratulations to the newly elected pupil arts council. It was great to meet for the first time to day and talk about how we can work together to promote and develop the arts through school. Lots of ideas collected. Watch this space for more info!
