Dear Zoo

This week in nursery we are continuing our learning about animals with a focus on wild animals. Our book of the week is Dear Zoo. Today we read the book together and talked about which way to hold it, how to turn the pages and how to read from left to right and top to bottom. We also encouraged the children to join in with the reading. We have enhanced our reading area with lots of different books about animals and it has been lovely to see lots of children choosing to share books together and read to our soft toy animals. 
In the construction area we have been building animal homes and adding our wild animals to them. We have also added pets and pet resources to our home corner so the children can role play looking after their pets.
