Growing Flowers

Our new learning focus for this week is growing flowers and we are focusing on the book "The TIny Seed" by Eric Carle. We have read the book and talked about how flowers grow from a seed. We have also been talking about what plants need to grow and the children were able to talk about sunlight and water. 
In our provision this week, we have been artists! We have been creating paintings and drawings of flowers by looking very carefully and trying to draw what we can see, thinking about the colours and the shapes. The children have done a great job of painting tulips and drawing spray carnations. We have also used flower petals to create our own collage pictures which was a very popular activity.
