We are having lots of fun exploring pumpkins in nursery this week! Today we had a look at some real pumpkins and we guessed what might be inside before cutting it open for the children to have a look.
The children thoroughly enjoyed scooping out the middle using different sized spoons and talking about what it felt and looked like. The children thought of some great words to describe it such as sticky, wet and slimy. Finally they used their hands to explore it- what a great sensory experience.
