We have met again today to talk about the different ways we can make science brilliant and exciting. We have found out a little more about the different enquiry types and each of us has talked to the children in our own class about this. We are loving being on the council. Here are just some of the things mentioned by the children attending the meeting:

' I am so excited about being on the science council. I love science and want to help make it brilliant at Park Street.'

'I can't wait to try out new investigations with my friends in class. It is brilliant to work outside and using the different science resources in school.'

'When I grow up I want to be a scientist so I think being on the science council is a good start.'

We enjoyed meeting today to talk about science in school. This year we have agreed to look at ways to engage classes in the different kinds of science enquiry. We have worked with Miss Fury to come up with a plan to have a focus each half term on a different enquiry type. This will let all the children and teachers work together to share good ideas and we are hoping at the end of each half term to be able to show lots of brilliant work. We talked today about what we loved about science and want to make science really exciting. We are going to meet virtually for now because of Covid but really hope to be able to have meetings in real life from September.

Congratulations to all our newly elected class science councillors. Our first virtual meeting was a huge success it was fantastic to hear just how enthusiastic our pupils were. The council discussed and agreed the aims and actions to be tackled this year. Watch this space for updates.
