Team JF carried out this half terms enquiry focus of 'observation over time' by investigation the question 'what is the best condition to grow cress?' To begin with, we decided on the conditions we would test. In the sun with water, in the sun without water, in the dark with water and in the dark without. From this, we each made our predictions. Over the course of the week we observed the changes to our plants and recorded our findings. The following week, we looked at our plants together and concluded they grew the best on the window (with sun) with water.

To kick start 'Science Week' at Park Street, KS1 and LKS2 children had the great pleasure of experiences the 'Animal Encounters' workshop! The workshop was fully interactive and designed to help children learn about animals in a safe and controlled environment. During this time, the children were given the opportunity to see, stoke and hold a range of animals! The children had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed their learning. What better way to discuss and explore the the theme of 'connections' than the links between animals, humans and lifecycles! |
