Pattern Seeking in Team LL and AF

​Children worked in groups to investigate the question…’Is there a link between your outstretched arms and your height?’
Children had to decide how they would carry out the investigation, how to measure and how to record.
Pupils then looked for patterns in their data. We felt that the data from just a few children wasn’t enough to look in detail at patterns so we collated the data for the full class.
Children drew conclusions and identified anomalous data which may have been down to inaccuracies in measurement so children rechecked.
After this children suggested their own investigations for pattern seeking.
