Arctic Animals

In Team EO this week, the children have been learning more about the Arctic. The children have previously studied the seven continents and were able to remember all of the names of the seven continents! The children really enjoys singing the seven continent song, and it seems that this has really helped them remember each of the continents. The children have been discovering what it is like in the Arctic, learning the names of various Arctic animals such as Polar Bear, Arctic Hare, Arctic Fox, Snowy Owl, Reindeer, Seal, Walrus and Husky. The children learnt facts about these animals and why they are able to live in such a cold place. They thoroughly enjoyed learning about the different animals and took part in a quiz, 'What animal am I?' later in the week to ensure their understanding about these beautiful Arctic animals.
