Geography in Team AF and LL

Team LL and AF are thoroughly enjoying our work on The Extreme Earth. we have explored the make up of the Earth and looked more closely at plate tectonics. Following this, we have looked at a range of natural disasters. We have focused on a region of the Earth called the Pacific Ring of Fire. This is where may of the plates of the Earth meet and results in a high volume of earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. We have applied our map skills and geographical vocabulary to locate and describe the position of various locations. HISTORY FOCUS: We have researched a range of historical natural disasters and the impact they had on communities locally and on a global scale. Pretty fascinating stuff!
