It's all about the weather!

In Team JF the children have been learning all about the weather during the Autumn term. They have been on a walk around their loval area, experiencing the effects of Autumn in their own locality. The children have been introduced to new vocabulary based on weather around the world, expanding on their previous knowledge, using compass directions and learning more about the world that we live in. Team JF have discovered that there are seven continents and five oceans, and how there is an imaginary line around the Earth called the Equator. The children have developed their understanding about how it gets warmer towards the Equator and how it gets much colder the closer you travel to the North and South Poles!
This helped the Team JF Geogers when it came to deciding about appropriate clothing to wear in certain types of weather conditions and why.
