Park Street Geogers!

During the 1st part of the Autumn term the children of Park Street have settled superbly into their learning of their Geographical topics.
Each year group, throughout the school, has been focussing upon an aspect of Geography as part of their topic area of learning.

In Team EO, the Reception / Year 1 Geogers have been out and about exploring the locality surrounding the school, on their welly-walks. The children have frquented the school's nature reserve, observing the effects of the seasons on the plants and trees. They have thoroughly enjoyed the experience, where they have witnessed Autumn in all of it's splendour and have compared this to other seasons throughout the year. These wonderful Geogers have been learning about the weather, introducing new vocabulary into their learning and discovering the effects of extreme weather around the world. The children developed their skills and knowledge about how to describe the weather and what it is like during different seasons of the year. Take a look at their experiences.
