This week Team JF took part in a seasonal walk in Wombwell. The children were incredibly observant whilst being very sensible and safe. As they set off from the school grounds, they started to look at the changes to our environment during this season. The children stopped at regular intervals to discuss what they could see and why these changes were occurring. As they arrived at their destination (a large open field space) the children split off into small groups to explore the surroundings and hopefully tick off some of the autumnal changes. Miss Fury was so proud of the way the children conducted themselves and how engaged they were in their learning. When they arrived back at school, they looked closer at some of their findings that they brought back and discussed these. The children then proceeded to complete their science investigation pro forma as a class to present their findings. Once again, our curriculum identifies as being closely linked together with other areas of learning!
