Team CW have been learning that things change over time and are excited to take part in an experiment.
Firstly, they discussed what happens when we don't eat food and leave it. They wanted to see what happened if they left a piece of bread straight from the packet, and also if they touched another piece bread with their unwashed hands. They hung them up to observe carefully with magnifying glasses.
This lead to another discussion about what happens to our fruit waste when we don't eat it and throw it into the bin. The children asked if they could do another experiment and watch how individual pieces change over time. They decided they would like to observe a strawberry, banana skin and half eaten apple.
They placed them in clear bags and sealed them tight and hung them up to observe over the next 10 days. They can't wait to see what happens!
