Governor subject update

Today was our history meeting with our history school governor Judy Milner. The meeting provided the opportunity for Mrs Milner and history leaders to work collaboratively to develop provision in each subject through working collaboratively on a subject development strategy document. Mrs Milner was informed about the status of history at the start of this academic year and then worked with subject leaders to develop an action and monitoring plan. Mrs Milner will be updated on progress against actions set throughout the year.

Subject leaders shared the starting position statement for history providing a status summary. They shared actions taken in the previous year, strengths and areas for development. The subject leaders and link governor added actions to the subject strategy document for 2023-24 after talking in length about the intent and implementation of history through school, from EYFS to Year 6.
