Assembly Study: Dwayne Johnson

This week in our cultural significant person study whole school assembly, children learnt about Dwayne Johnson and what a significant person he is today.  They learnt about his early life growing up living within a wrestling family and community and about how hard he worked for his successes.  They read and discussed some key quotes from Dwayne and also watched a clip showing him speak at the celebration launch for his star on the Walk of Fame.  They learnt that 'it is nice to be important, but more important to be nice'!  What an inspiring person to learn more about, especially in a week when the golden rule is 'do work hard'!
