Autumn 2, Week 2 'Incredible News!'

We have had another busy week at Park Street this week!  On Monday we launched our 'Anti-Bullying Week' in school, with Odd Socks Day!  Mrs Watson (PSHCE Leader) had us all organised with planning and activities and our School Council had met previously to get Children in Need Day all planned out for us!  We celebrated the end of our learning about kindness this week on Friday's Children in Need day, where we all wore it spotty!  The children looked amazing!

Throughout the course of the week, whether in learning time or in Assemblies, our children showed a rel appreciation of our school and how we have a zero tolerence to bullying.  The children spoke wih confidence about how we are a 'telling' school and will always tackle any behaviours which are not OK.

​We also enjoyed seeing more parents in school to our UKS2 Maths Workshop this week with Mrs Firth and Mrs Bamforth.  We enjoyed seeing so many parents at the second Parental Meeting evening this week too - thank you for supporting your children and the school.

On the Arts front, unfortunately we were not successful in the Barnsley Rotary Club competition this year, despite our wonderful Art submitted...maybe next year!  We did have, however, a wonderful response to our Poppy Art competition in school and all awards were handed out in Golden Book Assembly!  There were some truely stunning and creative entries!

We have welcomed our new Teaching Assistant, Miss Bell, in to school this week.  She is working in Team AC!  Welcome!

A BIG well done to the following Teams for their attendance this week:
Team SG and Team LL both with 98.7%
Keep working hard Team Park Street - we only managed 92.9% as a full school this week, which is much lower than recent weeks.  Let's keep working so hard on our attendance!
