Autumn 2, Week 3 'Incredible News!'

As part of 'Safeguarding Awareness Week' in school this week, we have focused our attentions on 'Road Safety'.  This is really important to us as a staff Team, as we have a busy local community, a busy main road at the bottom of the school drive and a busy drive too.  We try to cater for the needs of the school community, but we also need to be ensuring the children are safe at all times, hence the focus this week!

We wtached a number of vidoes in Assembly this week, all designed to point out the dangers on the road and how we all must treat roads with care.  We sang along to the 'Stop, look, listen, THINK' anthem and it has been lovely to hear children using this at drop off and collection times, as they cross the drive!

Team AC and Team SG enjoyed a visit to Barnsley Museums, which was great as so many children said they had never vsitied a museum before...a new life experience!

Team DB have visited Wombwell Library also this week, to see what is on offer there!

We also welcomed a visit from Mrs Oliver this week, our Chair of Governors.  She had a walk through school and spoke to the children and staff, as we celebrated 'Feel Good Friday'!
