This week in our KS2 assembly, we focused on the British Value 'Mutual Respect'. We decided on the following important characteristics for our school to have, for us to be showing mutual respect to each other and our local community:
1. Maintain an open-door policy for our parents 2. Listen to all members of staff and children 3. Act on suggestions which our TEAM gives 4. Be open with praise giving 5. Focus on the mission, vision and goals of our school 6. Take the time to learn about each other’s likes, dislikes and personal goals 7. Celebrate milestones and achievements 8. Treat people with courtesy, politeness, and kindness 9. Encourage each other to convey opinions and ideas 10. Listen to what other people have to mention before expressing our own viewpoint. Never talk over or disrupt someone else 11. Use peoples’ ideas to alter or improve work 12. Never insult, name-call, disparage, or belittle individuals or their thoughts 13. Do not constantly criticise or judge each other We think we do mutual respect very well at Park Street!
