Today in school we have held an 'Online Safety' assembly, where children have been spoken to about the importance of keeping safe online. We discussed the importance of keeping personal information to yourself and always speaking to an adult if you feel a situation is not appropriate. We also discussed how we can block people if they do or say unkind things online. We stressed the importance of not being on apps and games which we shouldn't be due to age restraints and about following the law of the land.
We also encouraged the children to always feel comfortable in school and let a member of staff know if they feel unsafe - all of the children nodded and said they feel very safe in school. They all have a hand on their classroom door, where they have identified 5 people in school that they would go to if they needed help and support.
