Miss McGinnes becomes Park Street's EYFS EAL Champion!

A really big well done to Miss McGinnes, our Assistant Headteacher and Reading Leader, who has been awarded with the title of EYFS EAL Champion for Barnsley!

Over the last year or so, Miss McGinnes has worked hard as part of the EAL Champion project and has been at the forefront of professional development for herself and the school.  I was very proud to be invited to The Fairway tonight, to see her be awarded this title!  Well done Miss McGinnes!

This was something which Miss McGinnes was very passionate about doing, as we have a rising number of children attending Park Street with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and she wanted to make sure that we, as a school, were doing everything we possibly could to engage such children and support them as best we possibly can.  WELL DONE and THANK YOU Miss McGinnes!
