Today in our Monday whole school cultural assembly, we have studied the famous person, Captain Sire Tom Moore!
We learnt all about Sir Tom's early life and what led him to be the massive supporter of the British health services, that he was. We learnt about his own visits to Hospital and how their help meant that he had an incredible amount of respect for them and what they do for the country's people. We learnt that it was because of this respect he felt, which caused him to want to raise money for them when they had to be on the front line, during the COVID-19 pandemic. We related this to the British Value of 'Mutual Respect' and looked at other examples in school, of children and adults who show mutual respect. Talk to your child about mutual respect and how as a family you show this value. Also talk to your child about the importance of Britain's health services and the important role they play in helping us on a daily basis.
