This term we are exploring dance from countries in the UK. This half term, we began by watching videos of Irish dancing and listened to the traditional music. When dancing, we thought carefully about our posture and position of our arms. We choreographed and performed a short routine, which we videoed to share with others.

The children worked on building ‘team spirit’ and the skill of ‘working together’ during the first half term. We played games, which focused on their collaboration, listening skills and ability to be able to follow simple rules and instructions.
The children enjoyed learning how to do a relay race and we had fun inventing new relays to work new skills and to have fun! |
